XTERRA Trail Run World Championship to be Held in Eryri in 2025
North Wales based event’s organiser Always Aim High Events are thrilled to announce that Eryri, Wales will be the host of the prestigious XTERRA Trail Run World Championship in 2025. This premier event will gather elite and mass participant runners from around the globe, competing for a substantial prize pot and the coveted title of XTERRA Trail Run World Champion in both Marathon and Half Marathon distances.
The XTERRA Trail Run World Championship is the culmination of a global series of qualifying races held throughout the year, attracting top runners who have earned their place by qualifying for this grand finale. This year, the World Championship is being held at Sugarloaf Mountain in Western Maine, USA.
The championship weekend in Eryri will feature a wide array of events, ensuring something for every level of runner. Participants can look forward to a 24-hour race, an ultra-marathon, a marathon, a half marathon, a 10k race, and a dedicated kids’ race. Only championship qualifiers in the Half Marathon and Marathon distances will be in contention for World Championship titles, but runners of all ages and levels are encouraged to pick a distance that suits them and come experience the XTERRA World Championship atmosphere in this stunning landscape.
In addition to the races, there will be a vibrant community atmosphere with local food vendors, live commentary and music, and family-friendly entertainment, making the event accessible and enjoyable for all.
