Silva’s Smini Fly Headlamp Wins ISPO Award for its Innovative and Versatile Design

Silva’s new headlamp Smini Fly has been awarded the ISPO Award for its circular, compact, and functional design. With a weight of only 38.5 grams and a brightness of 250 lumens, the Smini Fly is a reliable companion for daily runs, lightweight trekking, and a smart backup lamp during races.

The ISPO jury’s motivation:
“Silva managed to squeeze a great variety of features into this tiny headlamp, which makes it intuitive to use and easy to handle when on the trail. We also loved the fresh design, eco-conscious material selection, and modern color palette of the Smini Fly.”

Super lightweight headlamp with smart details
Weighing only 38.5 grams, the Smini Fly is Silva’s lightest headlamp, and its compact design fits in the palm of your hand. It boasts a brightness of 250 lumens with Silva Intelligent Light technology that combines long-reach spotlight and close flood light, and a red LED light mode for preserving night vision. It’s water resistant according to IPX5 and comes with a USB-C rechargeable battery to ensure you’re always powered up and ready for your next run.

The idea for the Smini headlamp came from ultra runner and Silva athlete Philipp Ausserhofer, who wished for a “Silva Mini” – a compact backup light for ultra races, which also can be used for everyday runs and lightweight trekking.

Made of recycled material and circular design
The Smini Fly lamp house and headband are made of recycled materials, and the lamp house is fastened with screws, making it easy to disassemble and recycle at the end of its product lifecycle. The Smini Fly also features a QR code where users can access product information.
