Silva Strengthens the Organization with New Team Members in Marketing, Product & Sales
In 2021, Silva was acquired by Verdane and an expansive business plan has set direction for 2025. The new business plan focuses on growth in the main markets Sweden, Norway, UK and Germany, and marketing is considered one of the most important success factors, along with the ambition to become the most sustainable brand in the headlamp and compass category.
To succeed with the new business plan, new team members with new skills and competencies have been recruited in 2022 to strengthen both marketing, product and sales teams, and more recruitment’s will be carried out during the autumn.
Jennifer Östberg joined the marketing team in December as Marketing Manager and responsible for the global marketing team and all global marketing campaigns. In her past roles, Jennifer has more than 10 years experience from marketing, and over 7 years experience from the Sport & Outdoor industry as Marketing Manager for Cross Sportswear.
“I am very proud to be part of Silva’s growth journey with focus on expanding our digital presence, sports marketing & community marketing initiatives, as well as continue building our awesome marketing team and content.” Jennifer Östberg, Marketing Manager

Emma joined Silva after almost 8 years in Fenix Outdoor with different roles in product development, ecom and CSR.
“I have chosen to start a position in Silva because I am committed to making this world a more sustainable place and I believe that it starts with getting people outside. My hope is that once our customers get fascinated by nature and see its fragility, they don’t want to compromise the possibility for future generations to enjoy it as much. It’s a privilege to be part of Silva’s sustainability journey and in making sustainable products the norm. We need action and we need it now.” Emma Gustafsson, Product Developer & Sustainability Lead
And last but not least, Sebastian Daue started in May as Sales Manager Germany, where he is now fully responsible for all sales related activities, agents and customers in Germany, Austria and Poland. Sebastian has spent his entire career in the Sport & Outdoor industry with different positions and more than 10 years experience from Adidas, Gore, Mammut and most recently Arena.
“As a premium brand in the outdoor segment, Silva was my first choice for a new and interesting journey and challenge. Now I am very happy to be part of a phenomenal team and to continue Silva’s success story with this team.” Sebastian Daue, Sales Manager Germany
These new team members will be important for Silva’s future success and to reach the targets and ambitions in the new business plan.
