Runna: lululemon & Runna Launch New Partnership
Technical athletic apparel brand lululemon announces the first of its kind partnership with the world’s top personalised running training app, Runna. The collaboration will elevate both brands during a key cultural moment in the UK, bringing together the best in run product and training plans.
The partnership will punctuate the average 16-week marathon training block with training events for the lululemon and Runna communities, hosted by lululemon and Runna Ambassadors Anya Culling and Andre Coggins, a limited edition capsule of co-branded product sold exclusively at our Regent Street store, and more, culminating in a marathon weekend celebration.
“I’m really excited to see the collaboration of technology and product come to life through the lens of communities and like-minded ambassadors like myself”, says Andre Coggins, lululemon Ambassador. “I’ll be using the Runna app for my training with a huge focus on fuelling, recovery and mindset. Another big focus will be the products I’ll use throughout my training and on race day, like the Metal Vent Tech range. My goal is to run 2.55 in London, which would be a huge personal best for me. Anything under that would be an unbelievable achievement.”
To kick off the partnership, lululemon guests can access a one-month free trial of the Runna app when they sign up to the lululemon newsletter, the best Runna offer in the UK. Both communities have the chance to attend four in person events, including an interval training session, mindfulness yoga for recovery and taper runs, which all feature product giveaways and support from Runna coaches. To bring the partnership to life, in addition to the 18,000 runners taking on the marathon with the support of the Runna app, Runna will be directly supporting three athletes to run the London Marathon, showcasing how the app and lululemon run apparel allow you to run like never before. The marathon week celebration will include panel talks, a shakeout run, an afterparty and exclusive souvenir product giveaways.
“I’m thrilled about the lululemon x Runna partnership because both brands have been integral parts of my running journey,” says lululemon Ambassador and Runna coach, Anya Culling.” I’m excited that two of my favourite brands are coming together to support more runners than ever towards marathon day. My lululemon Swiftly tops are a key item in my running wardrobe, helping me to feel comfortable and confident so I can focus on my training and perform my best. Training for a marathon is all about the details and I’m proud to be a Runna coach and deliver incredible training for everyone during this challenge and beyond.”
Runna are supporting Anna Sitar, US based content creator, Jenny Mannion, lululemon Ambassador and Shervin Shares, US based youtuber. They will follow a 16-week Runna training programme for the London Marathon and document their journey along the way.
