RUN FOR ALL: MALE COURSE RECORD BROKEN AS CHARITIES BENEFIT FROM THE HULL 10K

Samuel Roberts broke the Hull 10K course record by twenty-four seconds, beating the previous course record set in 2022.

The main highlight of the city’s running calendar, there was a celebratory atmosphere, with thousands of spectators lining the streets to cheer on participants of all ages and abilities.

A moment of applause was held at the start of the race in honour of Rugby League legend and dear friend of Run For All, Rob Burrow CBE, who sadly passed away this month. Rob was diagnosed with MND in December 2019, two years after retiring from an incredible seventeen-year career in rugby league with Leeds Rhinos. Inspiring millions of people across the world, Rob, alongside his family took the decision to open their doors to show the impact of the disease and raise awareness and funds for the MND community.  A beacon of hope for many, Rob was a shining light, and his legacy is one of courage and bravery.

Starting at 09:30 on Alfred Gelder Street, the 10K route took in several of the city’s most popular and iconic landmarks, including the Humber Dock Marina, the award-winning aquarium and Hull Minster.
