Run For All: Bury BID become title sponsor of the Bury 10K

We are pleased to today announce a multi-year partnership with Bury BID. As part of this partnership, Bury BID will become the new title sponsor of the Bury 10K for the next year two years.

Staged in partnership with Bury Council, we will be working together with Bury BID to inspire, motivate and empower participants of all ages and abilities to take on the 10K.

Bury BID offers a range of diverse services that aim to attract more visitors to Bury town centre, while encouraging them to stay long and enjoy the businesses. From enhancing the physical environment to organising exciting events and promoting local businesses, the BID’s services are designed to support the businesses and create a positive welcome to Bury town centre.

The partnership will kick off with this year’s Bury BID 10K taking place on Sunday 15th September, with the Bury Mini and Junior runs sponsored by Xerox Business Solutions to follow on the same day.

An annual fixture in the calendar and a marker point for participants of all abilities and ages to reach their peak physical fitness, the Bury 10K is firmly established as one of the region’s most popular mass participation running events. Each year thousands line up on the start line, whether it be running for good causes, PBs or fun.

With charity at its core, the 2024 event will see participants raising substantial sums for a host of good causes and a diverse range of partner charities, including the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, Creating Lives Centre, BACKUP North West and Jigsaw Bury.

Featuring a start and finish line set outside the Rock Shopping Centre, the 10K route will take runners along Tottington Road and Bury Road, before exploring local nature reserve, the Kirkless Trail. The course will then loop back towards the town centre, before participants cross the all-important finish line back outside The Rock.

A great event for runners and spectators alike, this scenic route promises to attract huge crowds of supporters as the town centre meets the picturesque countryside.

The Bury Mini and Junior runs, sponsored by Xerox Business Solutions will follow later in the morning. Inviting mini and juniors of all abilities, the Mini 1.5km caters for children between the ages of 3 – 8 and Junior 2.5km carers for children between the ages of 9 and 14.Participants are invited to wheel, walk, jog and run as organisers work to make the event accessible to all abilities.

As part of its sponsorship of the events, Xerox is looking to increase participation by offering 150 free entries to local schools in Bury, and is encouraging schools to get in contact with Run For All directly to redeem these entries.
