Polar introduces Polar 360: The first fully scalable wearable for businesses
Polar, the leader in wearable sports and fitness technology for nearly 50 years, launches its first wearable developed for business use, providing companies worldwide with a scalable solution for creating and delivering tailored services that promote workplace health and enhance individual well-being and performance. Streamlined, screenless and small-in-size, the Polar 360 sensor band packs Polar’s class-leading sensor technology and algorithms into a form that is more accessible than ever.
With Polar 360, Polar introduces a pioneering solution that enables a versatile and customizable approach to fitness, activity, and wellness tracking. The band offers flexible wearing options. While it is primarily designed to be worn on the wrist, its versatility and comfort allow it to be customized for use on other areas, such as the upper arm. The data collected by the sensor band can be transformed into meaningful insights through Polar’s scientifically validated algorithms and features. These insights can be seamlessly integrated into company apps using Polar’s API (Application Programming Interface). Moreover, Polar’s robust SDK (Software Development Kit) empowers companies to create their own algorithms and apps utilizing raw data from the sensor.
From logistics companies using alertness tracking to enhance driver safety and health, to corporate wellness programs tailored to individual health journeys, the possibilities are endless. By continuously measuring critical biomarkers, including heart rate and skin temperature (only via SDK), Polar 360 technology provides data that a business can interpret via its own algorithms to help identify early signs of burnout, excessive fatigue, or even exposure to extreme temperatures, aiming to transform how employers safeguard their employees, members or other close stakeholders.
“Today, fostering well-being is no longer just an individual responsibility—it is a collective effort, where companies, organizations, and societies all play a crucial role. With Polar 360, we are advancing our mission to empower people globally to lead healthier and happier lives and bringing our expert biosensing capabilities and data analytics ecosystems available at once to a significantly larger user base,” says Sander Werring, Polar CEO.
Backed by 50 years of sports science
Rooted in sport and elevated by science, Polar has spent nearly 50 years perfecting the art of personalized guidance. Polar’s services and technology have been used in over 14,000 studies on health and training, with 1,500 new coming every year, globally. Polar’s science-based metrics, extensive algorithm portfolio and uncompromising quality standards offer individuals and businesses devices and data they know they can trust.
The simplicity of the Polar 360 design combined with accurate sensor technology and the robustness of the Polar developer ecosystem make Polar 360 an incredibly scalable device, capable to meet the increasing demand from businesses, organizations and societies of any size.
“As this is a drastic change in the scale wearables are used, it is critically important what kind of company the solution comes from. With Polar, we bring with us the Nordic, decades-long heritage and compliance towards privacy regulations of the highest standard,” says Werring.
“Just as Polar launched the wearables industry nearly 50 years ago, we are now shaping how wearables will be utilized 50 years from now. It’s an exciting, ambitious journey, and we’re thrilled to be taking it with our partners,” Werring concludes.
