On the hunt for mountain crystals – On Gemstone Edition
Zurich, Switzerland, August 23, 2022 – Over the course of this Fall, On releases their ultra limited Gemstone Edition collection – inspired by gemstones and minerals that can be found in Switzerland’s mountains. The collection features the already iconic models Cloudultra, THE ROGER Clubhouse, Cloudnova Form and Cloudaway in a sequence of drops from August through November. Each shoe was inspired by a crystal based on their color and attributes: Fluorite, Opal, Titanite and Smoky Quartz respectively.
The Special Edition Cloudultra Fluorite catches the eye with its Fluorite gemstone palette, and is designed with reflective materials in the ripstop, laces and eyestay loop that make this shoe hard to miss. With its ultra-cushioning effect, Cloudultra invites you to long runs on the trail or on the street. The result: like fluorite’s healing properties, a run on trails or on street in the Cloudultra Fluorite helps to absorb and neutralize stress while improving physical and mental balance.

THE ROGER Clubhouse Opal, the most expressive tennis-inspired On sneaker by design, is a special edition with subtle pastel iridescence. It features an all-over fade print reflecting the opal gemstone, and an embossed heel and tongue tab for extra texture while the hidden Speedboard® and CloudTec® deliver next-gen comfort in every step to support all-day performance. The opal’s high vibrational energy and amplification powers are reflected in the model’s next-gen tech for all-day comfort, manifested in a perfect sense of balance.

The Cloudnova Form Titanite`s colorway is inspired by the rare titanite crystal. With golden and muted brown colors, monomesh upper, and a no sew design, the Special Edition Cloudnova Form Titantine is guaranteed to shine. The Cloudnova is the result of solid running tech knowledge embedded in street-ready design to provide all-day support and finds its counterpart in the Titanite as an all-round healing crystal.

The final Swiss-engineered shoe in the series comes designed in extra Swiss horologist detail. The Cloudaway Smoky Quartz features an ice-dye print accompanied by a translucent eyestay and rubber. While the standard edition Cloudaway is the ultimate everyday travel shoe with its comfort and durability, smoky quartz supports these qualities with its grounding properties that bring a sense of calm to any journey.
