New locations underscore On’s strategic growth plan and commitment to delivering a premium brand experience across North America
On, the Swiss sportswear brand, has announced that it has expanded its footprint in North America with the opening of two new stores — its first in Chicago and third in New York City. With these new locations, On has more than doubled its number of U.S. stores in less than a year, following the opening of its first store in Austin, TX last month – marking a significant milestone in the brand’s growth journey.
Located in two of the most influential U.S. markets, the new flagship stores immerse customers in the complete On experience, supporting the brand’s vision to become the most premium global sportswear brand. Both stores reflect On’s approach to integrating technology and modern design with the distinct character of each city, creating locally relevant spaces in premium branded environments that showcase its full range of head-to-toe offerings across running, outdoor, training, tennis and lifestyle.

On Flagship Store New York City Flatiron
On’s newest store in New York City is also its largest, boasting 4,596 square feet of immersive retail space in the high-traffic Flatiron district. It joins On’s other New York locations in SoHo and Williamsburg, further reinforcing the brand’s presence in this cultural capital. Housed in a registered 1930s landmark building, the team carefully preserved original architectural elements—such as columns and moldings—while seamlessly integrating modern, Swiss-inspired features. Expansive windows offer prime visibility and dynamic storytelling opportunities while nature-inspired details inside reflect the urban environment familiar to local runners, merging On’s aesthetic with the character of the neighborhood.
On Flagship Store Chicago Rush Street
Situated in the heart of Chicago’s vibrant Rush Street district, the new flagship store spans 4,553 square feet and opened just in time for the Chicago Marathon, offering a space for runners and visitors from across the world to explore On’s full range of performance apparel, footwear and accessories. The store design pays homage to Chicago’s rich industrial and design history through its open gray ceiling, colorful walls and wood accents, all inspired by the city’s iconic bridges.
Connecting Through Movement
Outside of the shopping experience, the On locations provide a place of connection and community to inspire movement. Both stores will host On’s popular weekly Run Club in addition to regular events, group runs and movement sessions with local partners and ambassadors.
