11th to 13th December confirmed as the new date for The Running Conference #TRC22
Running Industry Alliance (RIA) has confirmed the new date for The Running Conference 2022, which was due to take place from 11thto 13th September and was postponed due to the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II in line with the formal mourning period.
The rescheduled date is 11th to 13th December 2022, and The Running Conference will see Running Industry Alliance Members from various sectors of the running industry get together for “The Running Conference Sessions” content and shared insights, various brand activations, pop up discovery spaces, industry celebrations, a fundraiser and plenty of networking opportunities including hosted breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Whilst The Running Conference location remains at Loughborough University, the organisers had to implement a number of changes due to students being back on campus and some of the previously booked venues not available during the academic year. This sees a move to a different part of the campus to what is best described as “state of the art conference venue”.
The theme of The Running Conference 2022 is “Impactful Collaborations” with a focus around connecting, supporting, educating, sharing, amplifying, networking and growing.
Details about the speakers, insight sessions and panel discussions will be unveiled to attendees shortly, and any updates can be viewed on the website . The Running Industry Alliance Podcast will also be recorded live from The Running Conference #TRC22 .
RIA membership applications are open throughout the year, and anyone wanting to be at The Running Conference 2022 should complete the application form or contact membership@runningindustryalliance.com to join RIA as soon as possible.
Co-Leads Rebecca Richardson and Jonathan Midwood from RIA said: “We are pleased to confirm the new date for the much-anticipated The Running Conference #TRC22 and are looking forward to delivering the conference this December at the perfect venue and location.
“The Running Conference will be packed with lots of exciting and purposeful content, insights, activations, education, discovery and networking opportunities, and we can’t wait for everyone to get together and benefit from each other’s experience and knowledge. The schedule will be very similar to the original format that we announced, with just a few tweaks taking in some new locations on the campus, winter weather and daylight changes.
“The move has allowed us to open up additional places for #TRC22 from 250 attendees to 280 attendees, and the response to the new date has been very positive.
“A big thank you to all RIA Members, Alliance Partners, speakers, partners, supporters and LU team for the continued support and understanding, we can’t wait to see everyone in December.”
