Merrell — Off Grid. On Topic: Promoting Diversity & Inclusion In The Outdoors

Presented by: Brandwave @ Kendal Mountain Festival

“Pale, male, stale, elitist and exclusive,” words often used to describe the outdoor market. The outdoors, though, is for everyone, so how do we make it more accessible and inclusive to broader audiences?

Join Merrell for a thought-provoking discussion as part of the brand’s Off Grid. On Topic series, a range of talks hosted by Daniel Macaulay, founder of Brandwave, featuring Jonathan Quint, Merrell’s Product & Marketing Director EMEA.

This session will focus on Merrell’s two key initiatives to promote accessibility and inclusion in outdoor sports:

Merrell Hiking Club — a curated series of women’s hikes across Europe led by their community of female trailblazers.

The Merrell Fund — a project funding for charities and non-profit organisations to make the trails more inclusive and/or protect the trail environment.

Merrell will also be joined by several of the charities that the brand has supported who will talk through the respective challenges and impacts they have had opening up the outdoors.

This will be an interactive workshop-style session with plenty of opportunity for discussion, questions, and answers.

The event will be hosted and curated by Brandwave, one of the world’s leading sports marketing consultancies.
