JogOn has a new dedicated home and warehouse thanks to local council support
September marks a key milestone in JogOn’s evolution.
Tony Piedade, JogOn’s founder said: “Wow, what a journey. What started out as a little project in the garage has been growing at a remarkable pace. In two and half years we have gone from my garage, to a garage + shed, to some shared space in a warehouse to now having out our (very small) warehouse and our own “home”.
We look back at our journey with enormous pride and gratitude. In our first year we processed 10,000 pairs of running shoes, last year over 30,0000 and we hope this year we will get close to 50,000 pairs. None of this could have been possible without the amazing public and commercial support from individuals, clubs, universities, event organisers, leisure centres, gyms, retailers and brands. This is a great example where working together, through small meaningful acts can add up to a huge impact.
I have been amazed at your support and engagement with the campaign and I look forward to doing all I can to keep good shoes in circulation and ” end of life” shoes out of landfill.
Thank you for the support, and please keep those unwanted shoes coming!
You guys are amazing!”
