RUNNING FOR GREAT REWARDS: AJ Bell Great Manchester Run 2025 Finishers Medal and T-shirt revealed

As the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run moves ever closer, those taking part in the city’s annual festival of running can now get a sneak preview of the spoils which will be theirs when they cross the finish line on Sunday 18 May.

This year’s medal features a unique beehive design that celebrates the ‘Manchester bee’, an emblem which has been synonymous with the city for over 150 years.  The beehive pattern differs between the 10K and Half Marathon, with the number of hexagons representing the distance completed; ten for the 10K or thirteen for the Half Marathon. The back of the medal is encircled with a list of streets and landmarks runners pass on their route to the finish line.

This year’s t-shirt features a blend of illustrations that depict the landmarks, streets, and culture of Manchester.  Once again, the design differs depending upon the distance conquered – 10K or Half Marathon.

Over 35,000 runners will take part this year, making it the biggest Great Manchester Run in a decade. More than 100,000 spectators will line the streets to support, and millions more will watch the action live on the BBC from 11am to 1pm.

Places for the 10K, Half Marathon and Junior & Mini kids events are expected to sell out in advance once again, so enter now to secure your spot on the famous start line.
