AJ Bell Great South Run – it’s time to feel the feeling!
The AJ Bell Great South Run returns to Portsmouth this Autumn for the ultimate running party. This super flat, unique, 10-mile run along the stunning south coast is the perfect way to end this year’s running events season.
Over 20,000 runners will take part across the weekend, which includes the fast & flat 5k, the Junior & Mini kids events and the world-famous 10-mile event. You’ll be able to enjoy the incredible local support, rocking on-course music zones, post-race celebrations, and an unbeatable atmosphere from start to finish.
Whether it’s doing something incredible for charity that’s your motivator, or you’re keen to challenge yourself, or add a medal to your collection… The AJ Bell Great South Run is definitely one that will tick those boxes.

The route
Starting and finishing on the glorious seafront, the iconic 10 mile event provides stunning running at every turn with breathtaking views of the Isle of Wight and passing famous landmarks including the Historic Dockyard, HMS Victory and Southsea Castle.
Runners will pass by some of the city’s famed buildings and structures, as well as having fantastic views along the coast… Not to mention the incredible support, charity cheerpoints and the music boost zones to keep everyone motivated from start to finish. It truly is a memorable experience!
Take on the AJ Bell Great South 5k
If you’re not quite ready to take on the 10 mile route, why not give the 5k option a go?
The AJ Bell Great South 5k takes place on Saturday 14 October and starts and finishes on Clarence Esplanade – so make sure you get the date in your diary.
Expect beautiful views across the Solent, an incredible atmosphere, lovely fresh sea air and a fantastically flat route at this year’s AJ Bell Great South 5k.
Entries for the kids events are flying!
The running party continues on Saturday 14 October with our youngest runners at the AJ Bell Junior and Mini Great South Run. The Junior event for 9-15 year olds follows a 2.5km route, and the Mini event for 3-8 year olds is 1.2km.
With a buzzing atmosphere and a medal and goodies handed out at the finish line, the AJ Bell Junior & Mini Great South Run has it all.
Entries for both the Junior and Mini events are going quickly, so if you’ve got youngsters who love running, don’t miss out!
