Belfast City Marathon: Festive 5K Fun Run to return to Belfast in 2025 following debut success

Registration is now open for the 2025 Moy Park Belfast City 5K Fun Run, which will return on Sunday 16th November in Belfast City Centre. Organised by Belfast City Marathon, the Fun Run welcomes participants of all ages to run, jog or walk in true festive style.

The inaugural Moy Park Belfast City 5K Fun Run took place on Sunday 17th November 2024 as a sold-out event with 1,000 participants made up of adults and children alike. The atmosphere was incredible, with many taking part in their best Christmas attire to add extra festive cheer.

With a family-friendly flat route through the heart of Belfast City Centre, the Fun Run offers the best of Belfast’s landmarks, history and culture… made even better by a Christmas glow, as the event aligns with Belfast’s Christmas season kick off.

Claire O’Neill, Chief Executive, Belfast City Marathon commented;

“We are delighted to have staged this festive family fun event in 2024 for the city and appreciate all the support we had from our merry volunteers, sponsors, official charity, partners and participants to make it happen. We can’t wait to bring a winter wonderland to the streets of Belfast City Centre once again in 2025.”

To celebrate the return of the Moy Park Belfast City 5K Fun Run in 2025, anyone who enters before midnight on 30th November will be entered into a prize draw to WIN a £50 Victoria Square gift card.

Early bird entries are available until midnight 30th December 2024 for just £12 (adult) and £10 (child). Standard entries are available thereafter until midnight 30th October 2025 however early entry is advised as this promises to be another sold out event. Chip timing and a bespoke merry medal is included in the entry fee.
