THE SUPERHALF SERIES ARE COMING TO SPORTS TOURS!
Move over majors, the SuperHalf series are coming to Sports Tours in 2025, with the opportunity to pre-register this year and guarantee your place. Prepare to add a new challenge to your bucket list, by running six half marathons: Lisbon Half Marathon, Prague Half Marathon, Berlin Half Marathon, Copenhagen Half Marathon, Cardiff Half Marathon and Valencia Half Marathon, which once completed, entitles you to a SuperMedal.
The SuperHalf series consist of existing half marathons that have all come together to create a SuperHalf series, with the Berlin Half Marathon as its newest edition. Running from March through to October, ordinary runners will have the chance to complete the series over a period of 60 months (5 years) and much like the Abbott World Marathon Majors, gain an additional SuperMedal once crossing the finish line at your last race.
Sports Tours International are excited to add the SuperHalf series to their portfolio, as it will bring a whole different clientele.
Vicki Roth, Head of International Operations at Sports Tours, said: By bringing the SuperHalf series to Sports Tours, it will add a lot more opportunities. We have been on the smaller side for half marathons, because the majority of our clients are marathon runners. We have incorporated bespoke groups into our product offering to offer younger runners the chance to participate with us. So, hopefully this is a target market that we will attract, bringing new runners on a journey with us and they can experience that race day feeling!.”
Vicki added, “it’s an opportunity for those who are just starting their running journey and don’t have the confidence to run a marathon yet, so they can get an event entry for a half and once they have done the six, they can build up to a full marathon.”
The Prague Half Marathon (Saturday, April 5th) and the Berlin Half Marathon (Sunday April 6th) happen on the same weekend, giving runners the opportunity to run a two events over the weekend, shortening your SuperHalf journey. And while there is still travel involved, those in the UK may prefer the option to train travel to a few races – Cardiff, Berlin, Prague and Copenhagen, to reduce the carbon footprint of the long-haul air travel.
All you have to do is log your SuperHalf journey on their website. Then, when you enter the individual races and race bibs, you can enter this number and your SuperHalfs passport will automatically be given the race result when you finish, with Sports Tours contacting the event organisers to make sure your information is correct and updated.
In the meantime, lace up your running shoes and sign up to our notification list, to be the first to know once the race of your choice is available to book here.
