On Launches the Prism Capsule Collection: A New Era of Race Day Excellence

A collection of pinnacle running shoes designed for high performance, featuring the Cloudboom Strike, Cloudspike Citius and Cloudspike Amplius, and later the Cloudsurfer Next.

Swiss sportswear brand On, renowned for its unique approach to performance footwear innovation, proudly announces the launch of the Prism Collection. Designed to inspire runners to dream bigger and achieve their fastest times, this distinctive limited-edition collection combines cutting-edge performance innovation with a unique and vibrant flare aesthetic. 

Notably the collection features the highly-anticipated Cloudboom Strike, a new pinnacle of marathon excellence, alongside the track-focused Cloudspike Citius and track long-distance optimized Cloudspike Amplius. ​

Introducing the Cloudboom Strike

At the forefront of the Prism Collection is the Cloudboom Strike, a revolutionary race shoe engineered for marathon excellence. This model features:

  • Ultra-Responsive Drop-In Construction: Introducing the revolutionary new BounceBoard, a Helion™ hyper foam drop-in midsole, which maximises energy return and efficiency, maximizing the stack height within the regulatory framework.
  • Race-Day Optimized CloudTec®: Strategically positioned to enhance transitions, reduce impact, and increase running efficiency through a decoupled effect system.
  • Marathon Tailored Comfort: One-piece semi-transparent mesh upper, cage system for critical support, molded heel, and constructed tongue for targeted comfort.

Expanding the Boundaries of Track Performance

The Prism Collection also includes:

  • Cloudspike Citius: a track spike designed for power and propulsion with a top-loaded plate that enhances energy return. Optimized with a 23mm forefoot stack height for perfect balance, this spike was crafted in collaboration with On’s top mid-distance athletes and already proven at prototyping in high-ranked races. The minimalist one-piece upper offers strategic support, making it ideal for race day performance.
  • Cloudspike Amplius: a track spike with the comfort of a road shoe. Featuring a maximized stack height and Helion™ HF for optimal energy return, it ensures reduced impact and fresh legs for the final lap. The midfoot shank plate adds stability, while the lightweight, one-piece upper provides comfort and support for long-distance events.

The Later Launch of the Cloudsurfer Next

Designed with the same flare aesthetic of the core Prism collection, a new everyday running shoe will also be introduced: the Cloudsurfer Next. This shoe will feature all-new CloudTec Phase® cushioning for an effortless running sensation, lightweight engineered upper, and premium comfort for diverse foot shapes.
