MYLAPS partners with TAG ID to offer top-tier sports timing

MYLAPS and TAG ID are pleased to announce a long-term agreement, introducing the most accurate timing technology to sports events across Chile. The recent Santiago Marathon, their flagship event, witnessed a remarkable turnout of 29,695 runners navigating the streets of the Chilean capital, marking the debut of MYLAPS BibTag technology at this iconic event.

BibTag technology – the best-in-class in sports timing

MYLAPS, founded in 1982, is the inventor of automatic sports timing and continues to develop technology that is used all over the world, from the Olympics, major marathons, and NASCAR to countless local races. To offer best-in-class timing services, TAG ID decided to partner with MYLAPS to use BibTag technology for mass events. This is the standard timing system for mass running, cycling, or multipsort events with affordable chips and the highest read-rates in the industry. The newly introduced BibTag Smart Decoder was developed to make the life of timers easier, with improved usability and optimal performance. The MYLAPS ThinTag is 75% thinner than regular tags resulting in less waste and shipment space, positively impacting carbon emissions.
