GivenGain partners with the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon to boost event fundraising

GivenGain has announced a partnership with OSB Events, organisers of the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon, to help drive more funds for local and national charities.

Since the inaugural event of 2012, the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon has established itself as one of the biggest and most beautiful closed road half-marathons in the UK. This year’s event raised over £600,000 for hundreds of charities, including partners such as Alzheimer’s Research UK, Cancer Research and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The aim now is to raise even more in 2024, utilising GivenGain’s non-profit platform that’s proven so popular with other events like the Boston Marathon.

Leading the way for other major event organisers

Will Irwin, UK lead at GivenGain, said: “When we first met Adam and Ella at OSB Events, it became clear very early on that they’re a purpose-led organisation.

As an already established fundraiser, they could be forgiven for sitting back and not wanting to rock the apple cart. I felt that they instantly connected with our story at GivenGain and believe in our mission to empower people to better support the causes they love.

It’s a privilege to play such a leading role with one of the most well recognised events in the UK, and we can’t wait to start supporting their runners.”

Putting purpose at the heart of the event

Ella Hamilton, Account Executive at OSB events, said: “We’re really excited to be working with GivenGain. It’s the first time we’ve partnered with a giving platform and we’re looking forward to seeing the true charitable impact of our events.

By partnering with GivenGain, we know that our athletes and charities will get exceptional support, on a platform that resonates with fundraisers and donors in a way only a non-profit can. We’re looking forward to seeing what’s possible over the next three years.”
