Running Industry Alliance launches RIA Education Hub

Running Industry Alliance (RIA) has announced the launch of the RIA Education Hub, and Netwomen has been confirmed as the first education partner with a focus on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) certified training for business programmes.

As the preferred partner for Education and Training on Gender equality and DEIB“, Netwomen will offer DEIB education and help RIA Members and Partners to future-proof the leadership of their companies with DEIB foundations that work.

Netwomen helps organisations increase profits by retaining and elevating talented female leaders to bridge the gender and ethnicity gap and keep them there. Workplace diversity is listed as an important factor by 67% of job seekers when choosing an employer, with GenZ looking for employers who are culturally and gender diverse.

Netwomen will be offering a number of programmes with a focus around Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging initiatives, including for example how to attract a stronger pool of talent and how to promote without gender bias.

All programmes will be customised and specific for the sports industry and come with a full consultancy service along with an audit, planning, strategy, delivery, training, facilitation with industry expert and materials. The programmes will be delivered digitally by Netwomen’s vetted and certified DEI facilitators in bite-sized, 1-hour sessions with maximum 25 participants per RIA cohort, and all their programmes are CPD certified.

Co-Leads Rebecca Richardson and Jonathan Midwood from RIA said: “We are excited to launch the RIA Education Hub for RIA Members and to welcome Netwomen. One of RIA’s defined six focus areas for 2023 to 2028 is DEIB, with a lot of work to do in the Sports Industry around this focus, education and support. The team at Netwomen is dedicated to the idea that creating equity in the workplace is directly linked to the long-term success of any organisation, we are looking forward to working with Pinky and the Netwomen team and to creating education access directly for RIA Members.”

Pinky Ghadiali, Founder and CEO of Netwomen, commented: “Netwomen is delighted to join Running Industry Alliance and be the first education and training partner. Our mission is a 50/50 gender split, to move the needle on DEIB and gender equality for an equitable world. In a decade, the workforce is going to be majority female, majority ethnically diverse, and majority Gen Z – now is the time to get a strategy in place and some strong DEIB Foundations that work for the future. We are looking forward to connecting with RIA Members over the coming months and to meeting everyone at The Running Conference.”
